Why Sourdough?

Although Sourdough is currently in vogue, it is not a modern invention. Sourdough has been around for centuries, and for good reason. Thanks to the fermentation process required to make it, sourdough is naturally probiotic, making it an excellent source of healthy bacteria that benefit gut health and nutrient absorption. Additionally, sourdough has a low glycemic index, which helps stabilize blood sugar. Finally, sourdough has a low gluten content, which is great for gluten-sensitive folks.  Still not convinced? It's also delicious!

Want to learn to make your own sourdough?

You'll receive a jar of our 4-year-old sourdough starter, which we use every week for making our loaves. The jar you'll receive is already active, so there is no hassle with trying to rehydrate it. You'll also receive a book written by us explaining how to care for and maintain your starter as well as discard recipes and our personal sourdough bread recipe!
